LEAP started with a simple belief: that the right connections can change the trajectory of a business. As entrepreneurs ourselves, we knew how isolating the journey could feel and how powerful it became when you found your people.

What began as a single chapter in Lewisville, Texas has grown into a multi-chapter networking organization across North Texas, with a board of directors, a growing membership, and a shared mission: to help local business owners Learn, Earn, Aspire, and Prosper together.

Member Accountability

Every LEAP chapter meets weekly at the same place, same format, same community. Our meeting structure gives every member time to introduce their business, share referrals, and celebrate wins. Consistency builds trust, and trust builds referrals.

Membership has expectations, and we know that's a good thing. Active members are required to show up, be professional, and bring energy to the room. Our standards exist to help every member build relationships and their businesses.

Leap Board Members

Alex Murray - Chair of the Board & Denton Chapter President

Alex joined LEAP in October 2024 and quickly became one of its most committed leaders. She has served as Denton Chapter President and on the Board of Directors since January 2025, and was appointed Chairman of the Board in August 2025. Outside of LEAP, Alex owns Unleash You Coaching, where she works as a business coach to first-time and early-stage entrepreneurs.

Tommy has been a part of LEAP since the Denton chapter opened in October 2022, serving on the Board of Directors and the Denton leadership team as Membership Vice President. He holds the P&C seat in the Denton chapter through Comparion Insurance.

Connie Ligus - Secretary

Connie joined the Denton chapter in April 2025 and has grown into one of its key leaders. She has served as the chapter's Events Leader since January 2026, joined the Board of Directors that same month, and was named Secretary in May 2026. Connie owns Yellow Rose Paint Party and holds the Corporate and Private Events seat in the Denton chapter.

Jim is one of LEAP's original founders, helping build the organization from the ground up since 2018. He serves as Treasurer in both the Denton and Lewisville chapters and has been a member of the Board of Directors since LEAP's founding. Jim owns On Target Financial and holds the Financial Advisor seat in both chapters.

Dana Cardenas - Board Member

Dana joined the Denton chapter in August 2025 and has been an active presence in the LEAP community ever since. In May 2026 she stepped up to serve on the Board of Directors, and is the secretary for the Denton Chapter. Dana owns Minuteman Press in Denton and holds the Print and Promotional seat in both the Denton and Aubrey chapters.

Yvonne has been a member of the Denton chapter since January 2025 and joined the Board of Directors in January 2026. She owns E&J Marketing and holds the Marketing seat in the Denton chapter.

Carlos Lopez Jr - Board Member | Aubrey Chapter President

Carlos launched the Aubrey chapter of LEAP in April 2026 and serves as its founding President. As Chapter President, he also sits on the Board of Directors. Carlos owns Twin Pillar Financial and holds the Financial Advisor seat in the Aubrey chapter.

Juan has been a member of the Lewisville chapter since 2024 and stepped up as Chapter President in June 2026. As Chapter President, he also serves on the Board of Directors. Juan owns Top Dog Epoxy and holds the Floor Epoxy seat in the Lewisville chapter.
